Rustic French Apple Tart

Fresh fruits are always everyone’s favorite and fruit tart is a great way to have your favorite fruit in the form of a dessert.
This Rustic Apple Tart can be made with very few ingredients and it is easy to make. my family loves this and it is always in demand for the dessert.

Rustic Apple Tart

Ingredients:
Fresh Apple(Honey Crisp)(sliced):3 apples
Unsalted Butter(cut in cubes): 1 and 1/2 stick
All-purpose Flour:1 1/2 cup
Sugar: 2 tbsp
Salt: 1/2 tsp
Cold Water:1/4 cup

For the Filling:
Vanilla Essence: 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder: 1 tsp
Sugar:
Butter(cubed): 1 tbsp
All-purpose flour: 2 tbsp
Brown sugar:1 tbsp

For Glaze:
Apricot jam:2 tsp

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl mix all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and butter using in an electric mixer till the butter completely mixed with the flour.
    Sprinkle cold water at this time to form a dough using one spoon at a time. The dough should be tight and after kneading for about 5 minutes,
    Using a parchment paper, roll the dough into 12 to14 inch circle and place onto a round baking pan or pizza pan. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Let’s prepare the stuffing for the tart. In a medium bowl mix cinnamon, brown sugar, sugar, and the apple slices. Remove the rolled dough from the refrigerator and spread 1 tbsp of all-purpose flour on it all around. Place all the apple slices mix on to it and fold the extra rolled dough inwards so that it covers halfway apple slices. Add one tbsp of butter cubes on the apple slices. Spread the apricot jam all around the tart. Also you can have a egg wash on the tart if you like.
    Bake in the oven for about 20 to 25 minutes till golden brown. Serve warm and Enjoy!
